Racing for Children’s is shifting gears to host “Drive-In For A Cure” at Grand River Drive-In in Leeds (1453 Grand River Parkway North) on Saturday, Sept. 19 to benefit pediatric cancer patients at Children’s of Alabama.
The movies are “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” or “Madagascar.” Tickets are $25 per car
Gates open at 5 p.m, and the movies will begin at sundown, approximately 7:15 p.m. Outside food and drinks are prohibited, but concessions, including $1 popcorn, are available to purchase onsite from The Snack Shack (view menu at www.grandriverdrive-in.com).
Theater staff have incorporated social distancing protocols to ensure the safety of moviegoers. Masks will be required when not in vehicles, and cars will be parked with empty spaces in between to ensure safe distance for all.
