For the past 14 years, we have dedicated our lives to raising awareness, helping families, funding research for a cure and supporting our Rett clinic at Children’s of Alabama. After 2 years of collaborating with UAB’s Center for Engagement in Disability Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, we are thrilled to announce that the post-doctoral position has been filled. Dr. Christen Mendoca will be directing the Wellness Innovative Network-a Nurturing Environment for Rett Syndrome (WINNERS).
Today, in honor of Suki’s Sweet Sixteen Birthday, we humbly ask that you consider being a donor as we kick-off our campaign:
12 Days. 1 Cause. Endless Hope for a Cure.
Turning sixteen is a major milestone in many children’s lives. It signifies a time of great independence and freedom as they take the wheel and drive away from their homes for the first time. For us, Suki will never get to experience that moment. In fact, until there is a cure, any idea of freedom will be foreign to her as she remains locked in a body that will not work, relying on others for her every need. Sponsorships and donations are needed to help us make a difference. Join us for a 12 Days of Christmas Bourbon Bottle Pull on December 1-12, 2025. In-kind donations are also welcome and will play a vital role in this campaign. Giving is more than making a donation, it is making a difference.
